What is Injection Blow Molding (IBM)? IBM is a common manufacturing process, great for small containers, packages with threaded necks or wide mouth openings, or for highly styled shapes. PP (Polypropylene), HDPE (High Density Polyethylene), LDPE (Low Density Polyethylene), and PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) are some common plastics used in IBM.
The tactile feel of what’s referred to as “soft touch” is becoming increasingly desirable in the prestige product segment as more and more customers view it as representative of a high-quality and expensive product. But how is the effect achieved?
What is the difference between tamper evident and CRC?
If your product contains any potentially harmful substances such as medicines or chemicals that could be hazardous if taken in the wrong dosage, they likely require child resistant closures otherwise known as CRC.
We all know what a pump does, deliver contents of a container or bottle, but have you ever wondered how it worked? While there are many, many different designs and types of pumps available today, the basic principle is the same.
Pumps and sprayers commonly use a unit of measurement called output or dosage, which is usually displayed in microliters (mcl), milliliters (ml), or cubic centimeters (cc). This measurement determines how much product is dispensed each time the pump is actuated.
Fine and regular mist sprayers commonly use mcl, or microliters, as their output measurement. A microliter is 1/1,000th of a milliliter.
Pumps and some larger sprayers have a much larger output capacity, so they typically use cc or ml for their output measurements. For example, most lotion pumps have an output range of 0.5cc - 4cc while some larger products have an output in the range of 4cc - 8cc.
It is important to understand these numbers, so that you can properly determine the best pump or sprayer for your product based on your desired output.
An essential oil is a liquid distilled from elements of a plant. It is a natural way to infuse your product with aromatic and medicinal properties. As these oils have become more popular with consumers, they have also become a source of questions in the industry.
